Pixel Lightsaber: Lined with LED strips inside the blade, so the light travels from hilt to tip when ignited (exactly like in Star Wars films). It also does dynamic effects (flame/rainbow gradients), so it looks like you pulled it straight from a movie set.

RGB Lightsaber: Only a LED in the hilt, so the blade lights up all at once. You can change colors, but no dynamic effects — it’s just a "glowing plastic stick."

Pixel lightsaber is more complex in its build with heavier electronics than an ordinary RGB light saber. It also gives a more realistic look, has different special visual and sound effects in the blade and the hilt, and costs a lot more to build or buy than your standard RGB lightsaber. Pixel blade has more LEDs per given area, and it consumes a lot more battery in a shorter time as compared to the standard RGB light saber due to the sound and visual effects.

RGB(also called baselit) sabersuse an ultra-bright, high-powered LED embedded in the hilt, shining light through the polycarbonate blade, the same material used in police riot shields. This makes the bladelightweight and drop-resistant, making it ideal for fast rotations and intense combat.
